March 2010 Interview: Danny Glover

Danny Glover is a progressive actor, director and political activist. Perhaps best known for his Hollywood roles in popular films like Lethal Weapon, Predator 2, The Color Purple and 2012, Glover has had an equally distinguished career as an activist. He helped establish the Department of Black Studies at San Francisco State University, he’s fought for the rights of various unions and he has even worked to nurture diplomatic relations between the United States and Venezuela. Glover is currently blurring the lines between artist and activist while directing a feature film on the life of Haitiain Revolutionary, Toussiant Loverture. This might be the shortest Blackademics interview ever, but we appreciate this brother’s time. Blackdemics, welcome Danny Glover.
