January 2008 Interview: Sonia Sanchez

Continuing coverage of the Martin Luther King Jr. Arts Complex Legends and Legacies ceremony, this month’s interview is with one of the champions of the Black Arts Movement. Sanchez was the first presidential fellow at Temple University, where she has been teaching for over 30 years. She has lectured at over 500 Universities around the world and has published over 30 books of poetry, plays and anthologies. Hundreds of awards and honors later, she met with me in Colombus Ohio at the King Arts Complex. Ladies and Gentlemen, Sonia Sanchez
