Barack O’Biden

It was 3 o’clock in the morning two nights ago when my wife’s cellphone went off. When I heard it, I remember thinking to myself.. “who could possibly be blowing my wife up at this hour?” Then she rolled over and asked me, “who the hell is Joe Biden?” After about 30 seconds of disorientation passed, it clicked: this was the text we had been waiting to receive all evening, announcing Barak Obama’s running mate. I was really expecting some household name like Hillary Clinton or Colin Powell to be announced – Joe Biden wasn’t even on my radar. So the first thing I did the following morning was: google him – and from what I can see he looks like a stand up guy. Joe Biden is a strong-minded, extensively vetted six-term Senator. He has plenty of foreign and domestic policy experience to fill in where Obama is lacking. The worst thing one could possibly say about him as a vice presidential candidate is that he was a “safe” (and boring) choice for Obama. Perhaps “safe” is just what voters who might be intimidated by Obama’s celebrity need.

Joe Biden is awesome and will prove to be an excellent selection for Obama. I can’t wait to see Biden in a debate with whoever McCain chooses for his VP. Because whoever is chosen will be made to look straight stupid by Biden. It will be a beautiful thing.

Another consideration that hasn’t gotten a lot of play, is that over next the few years, new Supreme Court Justices will be selected.

Joe Biden was chair of the Judiciary Committee for quite some time and knows the process and players well.

In order to get your judges in there to make sure the conservative ideals don’t take a majority stake, having this asset is CRUCIAL to continue and extend current progressive policy…..including Roe v. Wade, Affirmative Action, and capital punishment legislation.

    Joe Biden FTW.
