Do You LOVE them?

After reading Deen’s blog that brought up one of the stereotypes of Black people, I thought this would be a great time to discuss a website I came across the other day: Black People Love US. This website is hopefully a joke, but it is about two white people who are

well-liked by Black people [and are] psyched (since lots of Black people don’t like lots of White people)!!

This website could be considered racist, hilarious, on the edge, or all three. But is this how we want to attack stereotypes and racism in society? I believe that comedy can be a medium to primarily acknowledge these issues and prejudices we have against one another, but will or are people having dialogues afterwards and are people really getting the message? It is amazing what discourse can accomplish and how much you can learn about others when truly listening and understanding one another, but this does not occur by watching a comedy on TV. My question is, are we opening a Pandora’s box with websites such as these?
